Thank you for showing interest in the ambition of Llyr Hughes to become
Wales’ strongest man.

 You could formalise this support by joining Llyr’s Support Group. You do
not need to pay any money just send us an email saying you agree with the aims
of the Group and wish to become a member. We are setting up the  Group because most funding bodies cannot deal
with applications from individuals. We believe a broader Support Group will
stand a better chance on this , so helping Llyr and bringing sporting
achievement to the Lleyn and North Wales.

The aims of the Group are to :

• Assist Llyr Hughes in becoming Wales’ strongest man
• Make applications for the funding of equipment  for strong man training; and
• Further the interest in strong man competitions and training in North
  Wales

In the meantime Llyr is  training
hard but with limited resources. His father Elwyn Hughes a local stonemason is
building the training centre in Rhyd y Clafdy but the centre will need kitting
out with the specialist equipment needed for extreme weights training.
